Clean Up, Catch Up, And Milestones

Posting will more than likely be light for a few days while I head West River for work (man it’s a pain getting a hotel room in Rapid City in late July) so I figured I would drop a few tidbits.
Just heard on KELO news that fellow Clevelander and Mott The Hoople/Ian Hunter fan Drew Carey has gotten one of the best gigs on TV as he has been pegged to replace Bob Barker on “The Price Is Right”. He apparently announced it during the taping for this evening’s “Late Show With David Letterman” so for those interested, tune in tonight. I wonder if Rosie is bumming as she supposedly campaigned for the job?
On a more personal note, A South Dakota Moderate will soon hit a milestone of sorts. Not the million page views being touted by one of our local bloggers as I am not in that class as of yet but one group that does love this site is spammers. Sometime this evening I should hit 10,000 spam comments caught by my anti-spam plugin touting Viagra, and all sorts of other items.

Based on the fact that this site is pushing 18 months on the web, that corresponds to about 18 spam comments a day. Probably not as impressive as the Philadelphia Phillies losing their 10,000th game last week but memorable just the same.
UPDATE:And the winner is…
