Governor Mike Rounds’ gag order against the Argus Leader seems to be picking up steam with more shots being fired almost daily. PP over at South Dakota War College writes today:

When out to sea, “mail call” was one of the highlights of the day. This picture of an S-3 Viking was taken from “Vulture’s Row” on the Kitty Hawk in 1985. S-3’s were often used to transport supplies and personnel to ships at sea including the all important mail. Their main mission though was actually [...]

With all the talk in South Dakota recently about Amendment E- The Judical Accountability Act up for public vote this November, A larger more disturbing trend is surfacing nationwide with judges across the country squarely in the sights of the ultra-conservative religious right.
Mother Jones has an article in their May/June issue appropriately titled “The Bible [...]

The Daily KOS has more on a developing scandal involving “hospitality suites” [...]

Seems President Bush and his advisers must have missed that old Saturday morning cartoon where the “bill” was singing “I am just a bill and only a bill on Capitol Hill”, if they had they would have realized that before signing a bill into law it must be passed first by both the House [...]

As I mentioned earlier 46 districts are considering filing a lawsuit over the percieved unfairness in funding for the smaller school districts around the state. It seems these districts think the lawsuit is necessary because Governor Rounds’ solution for smaller districts involve forced consolidation instead of increased funding.
The Argus has a story this morning about [...]

Tom Raum from the AP has a story about what might be in President Bush’s future if the mid-term elections go as predicted, against the GOP.
Democratic control of either chamber could rearrange priorities. Bush’s programs and spending requests would come under increased scrutiny. Congress could even take tentative steps toward bringing troops home from Iraq [...]

Though recently retired, the F14 was one of the most awesome planes in US Naval aviation history. This picture was taken during an airshow put on for dependants of crewmembers of the USS Kitty Hawk off the coast of Norfolk, Virginia in 1987.
Part of this airshow was to demonstrate the capabilities of different aircraft and [...]
